Nice room, pool, lounge and gym (though too hot) Nice hotel overall.

English language is below average and the staff is very friendly but can not make any decisions in solving problems or even questions and there is no manager available to help Many many things on the menu are not available Procedures win in this hotel over hospitality

A great place to recharge your batteries. Note that there is nothing to do outside the hotel.

It was very good! a great way to end your trip to the wild nature in Sumba. Facilities, staff, food, everything was fine!

Nothing - we were not planning to do anything than relaxing and heading off to the airport. Don't go if you expect any adventures next to the hotel.

Good place to stay when in Tambolaka!

Nice brand new hotel near Tambolaka (airport only 10 min by car). Like the interior design. Staff is nice, thoughtful, interested. Manager was very helpful when in need of a doctor and could speak English very well. There is an option to book a massage as well, it was very good and reasonably priced (booked in advance via Whatsapp, they answer quickly by the way). They have a cafe and restaurant and the swimming pool is just huge. Would stay here again when in Tambolaka!

Keep doors to the outside closed in the cafe area (because of temperature and insects). Train staff to ask for help (of manager or other colleague) if they dont know the answer or dont know what to do. Taste of pizza in cafe was not so good.

Great stay in a new hotel with great staff

This hotel is brand new and there is really nothing to complain about the facilities. Also the staff was more then friendly and helpful. They also get my compliments in this review.

There is as really nothing we can complain about. And we consider it a pity it was so quiet. We encourage everyone to come to Sumba to meet the friendly people and visit interesting sites. And if you do, Sima Sumba Hotel provides you great comfort in Tambolaka

Very Good

NEW Hotel, clean, modern facilities.

The staff need to get more training. I asked the reception to arrange a transport for me to go to the airport & she said it alredy full booked. And she said that she will check with other provider and let me know. So I asked her to ring my room to update me but NO update at all. I ended up arrange the alternative transport by myself. The location is not walking distance to any restaurants.

Wonderful

Great pool. Very nice room.

Too much staff behind the reception counter. Staff needs more training. Deposit required to access food and minibar. Location is not great.

Good but not perfect

The hotel is quite new. The room is ok but the cleaning service was not sufficient. There were little tiny pieces of tissues in the carpet. Body lotion shampoo and shower gel is put in the refill bottle so that good for the environment. Breakfast was good enough. There are Indonesian, Chinese and European foods.

Very friendly staff, most of them speak a little English. Good breakfast; lot to choose from. Restaurant and room were beautiful and clean. Near the airport.

beautiful new hotel at an excellent price

Beautiful new hotel that has uniform elements. During our visit everything was still new, clean and working as it should. The staff was friendly and helpful. As in all of Sumba, if there can be a language barrier in English, but we handled everything playfully and with a smile. The price performance ratio was great.

There was nothing that was specifically in the way. If it was my first day on the island, I might have been surprised that I couldn't agree on everything in English, but after a few days of traveling, we understood. Plus the inability to pay in the restaurant by contactless, it can cause problems for people used to not changing money enticingly and not carrying a card since they have it in an electronic wallet.

New hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast

Swimming pool wasnt working. Was very hot everywhere outside of room. They haven't most of all in menu. Staff absolutely unhelpful and unwelcome Resepsionist can't speak english. Can't solve any problems,but don't want to call manager. They can't calculate separate bills. Its took them almost half an hour and they bring wrong bill for us. Then, they forgot to bring change. They not respond for call or text message. I asking to send me menu from 9 a.m and they back to me around 8 p.m It was our birthday party and we want to have great time in Sumba, at the new hotel. But our expectations was absolutely wrong. When we realize they don't want to do nothing for our dinner, we decided to stay at the room. We order some desert outside, which one they told us they haven't, but receptionist, who promises me to receive it, just send delivery back. Because she didn't know room number. But we were only 5 foreigners and we occupied 3 rooms from only 5 booking that date. When we asking bring knife for cutting our fruit, because in restaurant they can do it for us, they ask us waiting. After 2 call we go down to reception where they told us its prohibited! We waited around 40 min for this.
